Food Habits
Rainbow Lorikeets mainly eat:
• Flower nectar
• Fruits (apple, papaya, banana, grapes)
• Sweet corn
• Lorikeet special nectar powder
• Fresh flowers like hibiscus

Avoid:
• Chocolate
• Avocado
• Salty foods
• Oily foods
• Give fresh clean water daily.

Maintenance & Care
• Keep in a big aviary cage
• Daily sunlight needed
• Very active and playful bird
• Clean cage every day
• Keep wooden branches for sitting
• Spray bath water sometimes

Temperature:
• Normal warm climate is best

Breeding & Eggs
• Usually starts breeding around 1–2 years age
• Female lays 2–3 eggs
• Eggs hatch in around 23–26 days
• Babies come out without feathers
• Hand feeding needed if parents reject chicks

Baby Care
• Keep babies warm
• Feed soft nectar formula
• Do not touch eggs too much
• Nest box should be clean and dry

• Around 15–25 years with good care
