How to Maintain Rose Plants
Sunlight
• Keep the plant in 5–6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
• Morning sunlight is best.
Watering
• Summer: Water once daily.
• Winter/Rainy Season: Water only when the top soil becomes dry.
• Avoid waterlogging.
Fertilizer
• Apply vermicompost or well-decomposed cow dung once every 15–20 days.
• Use NPK fertilizer (19:19:19) 5 grams per liter of water once every 15 days for better
flowering.
Plant Protection
• Spray neem oil (5 ml per liter of water) every 10–15 days to prevent pests.
• If fungal infection appears, use a suitable fungicide as per label instructions.
Pruning
• Remove dry leaves and old flowers regularly.
• Light pruning encourages new branches and more flowers.
Flowering Period
• Roses can start flowering within a few months under proper care.
• Flowering continues throughout the year in suitable conditions.
Life Span
• A healthy rose plant can live 10–30 years or more with proper maintenance.
